Company Lotus first showed the electric hypercar Evija dynamics. Apparently, the development of the most powerful models of the British brand moved into the initial phase of the driving tests that are conducted at the site next to its headquarters in Hotele.
On a closed track, Lotus is testing the second engineering prototype hypercar. Coupe wrapped in yellow and black pixel camouflage, and does not differ from the one shown before cars. Over the next months on public roads and racing tracks the largest European company promises to bring some more prototypes. But the title of “most powerful production car” 2000-strong Evija already lost – now it’s Japanese Aspark Owl.
Lotus Evija Zelezarny with a carbon-fiber monocoque, adaptive suspension with three Multimatic shock absorbers and a huge Venturi tunnels at the stern equipped with four electric motors. In sum, they give out 2,000 horsepower and 1,700 lb-ft of torque, driving the hypercar from standstill to 100 kilometers per hour, the Lotus less than three seconds.
The battery capacity of 70 kilowatt-hours allows you to drive 400 miles on the WLTP cycle. It can be connected to the terminal with a capacity of 800 kilowatts, but these do not yet exist.
Orders for Evija already accepted, although manual Assembly of the first copies at the company headquarters in Hatale, UK, will begin only next year. Price Evija – 1.7 million pounds. The circulation model will be only 130 copies.
