The guys from tuning Studio Manhart presented the project of modernization of the Bavarian Roadster BMW Z4 in powerful version M40i. The car has received a 440-horsepower engine, as well as several very interesting pieces.
In may this year, tuning Studio Manhart known for his rather extravagant projects, have published the first renderings, which show highly modified BMW Z4 M40i. At that time it was still in development, but now, the car is ready and foreign blogger Shmee150 has managed to make it fairly detailed overview.
As you probably remember, version of the car from Manhart is called MHZ4 440 where 440 indicates rated power 3.0-liter engine doctoring B58 – this high capacity is made possible due to the change in software and hardware. “Combined with one of the most insane exhaust system, the Roadster is a very powerful car,” says the blogger.
And the exhaust sound it makes, it’s just… well, ridiculous in the best sense of the word. But if you activate the Sport Plus mode, some time later, while valves will work, you will get a loud and brutal note.
This project of the company Manhart is one of the first to be fitted with a control module Emulator (native development). This is the answer of the firm on the questions of the customers wishing to upgrade the exhaust system of their new BMW models, not fearing new particulate filters of diesel, which can cause a lot of problems.
This same device can also disable the system “start-stop” of the car, as well as to simulate the sound of exhaust coming from the radio speakers. Unit price for the Bavarian Roadster Z4 is 399 euros.
