The premium electric crossover Mercedes-Benz EQS, due next year, will have an even more luxurious variant that will hit the market under the Mercedes-Maybach sub-brand. This was announced as part of the presentation of the company’s new strategy, Mercedes-Benz Marketing Director Brett Sieger.
In addition, during the presentation, the first image of the future electric Maybach model was shown. Judging by the teaser presented, the luxury electric crossover will retain the two-tone body design, as well as the traditional nameplate on the C-pillar. In this case, the novelty will receive smooth contours and original lighting technology. The automaker has not announced any other details yet.
The light version of the Mercedes-Benz EQS has already debuted. The liftback has two power plants in its arsenal: a single-engine 333 horsepower and two electric motors producing a total of 523 horsepower.
The company intends to show the standard version of the all-terrain Mercedes-Benz EQS in 2022 along with more affordable electric cars EQE – a “green” alternative to the current Mercedes E-Class. And in 2024, the EQG SUV, that is, the electric Gelendvagen, will appear on the market. At the same time, the prototype of this new product may be shown by Mercedes-Benz in September at the motor show in Munich.
