Mazda has updated the “Troika” and the CX-30 crossover

Mazda Motor has unveiled updated versions of the Mazda 3 hatchback and CX-30 compact crossover for the Japanese domestic market.

The changes affected cars with the e-SKYACTIV X installation – a combination of a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with a 15: 1 compression ratio, a 6.5 hp AC synchronous electric motor. (4.8 kW) and a lithium-ion battery with a voltage of 24 V. The power of the internal combustion engine is 190 hp, the torque is 240 Nm.

Engineers have now optimized the intake duct and muffler parts. Thanks to the changes, the sound of the internal combustion engine during acceleration has become deeper. In addition to this, the sensitivity of the gas pedal on cars with automatic transmission has been increased, and acceleration control has become more linear.

A new Smart Edition has been added to the Mazda 3 and CX-30 range. It is equipped with the Mazda Proactive Safety system, which performs the function of adaptive cruise control, monitors the distance to the vehicle in front, markings and other vehicles when driving through intersections.

Sales of Black Tone Edition vehicles have also begun. These cars are equipped with side mirror housings and black wheel rims.

Sales of updated versions of the Mazda 3 hatchback and CX-30 compact crossover in Japan began on 28 October. The Mazda 3 Smart Edition starts at 2,790,741 yen (about $ 24,550 at the current exchange rate), the CX-30 from 2,887,500 yen (about $ 25,400). For the Mazda 3 Black Tone Edition, you will have to pay a minimum of 2,365,000 yen (about $ 20,800), for the CX-30 – 2,662,000 yen (about $ 23,400).
