Mazda upgrades CX-5 and CX-8 crossovers

The Japanese company Mazda has updated two of its crossovers – we are talking about a small CX-5 and a larger CX-8. Such versions will be sold on the Japanese and European car markets. In Europe, new products are expected until the end of the first half of 2021. The main changes have affected the technical filling – now the crossovers will become one of the most modern.

Instead of the current multimedia system, a 10.2-inch touchscreen will be used, which has a large number of functions. The firmware was also updated, which is aimed at faster start-up and response of the system, as well as providing more accurate navigation. For more comfortable Parking, engineers have provided a system of all-round cameras. These innovations are common to both models.

However, the Mazda CX-8 relies on some other changes. In particular, wireless charging is now provided for gadgets, and the trunk door can be opened using gestures. All this makes the cars very modern and will allow them to remain competitive until at least 2025.

The updated Mazda CX-5 and CX-8 received a newly calibrated automatic transmission, which improves the response to the gas pedal and provides better acceleration.

In terms of the engine range, the changes only affected the diesel engine – its return increased from 190 to 200 horsepower. The torque remained at 450 Nm.
