Mazda will soon introduce a 350-horsepower coupe

Four-door novelty will receive specially designed for her rear-wheel drive platform.

The production version of the Vision concept Mazda Coupe, introduced in 2017, as reported, will debut at the motor show in Tokyo in October 2019. Like the show car, the production model is expected to take up a four-door layout of the body style coupe. The sale will begin no earlier than 2022.

After many rumors, this model will return a four-door sedan with rear wheel drive back in the lineup Mazda. Also expected to be a new 3.0-liter inline-engine. The power plant will use a proprietary ignition system compression, and also will have mild hybrid technology, reports Best Car. The publication of the Japanese magazine said that Mazda is committed to the power of 345 HP.

Four-door Coupe concept Vision got the style from the RX-Vision 2015. They received a lot of criticism for a sharp look to the design language of Mazda Kodo, but the automaker has not yet translated appearance of the concepts to production models.

For many years there were rumors that Mazda is developing a platform with rear-wheel drive, possibly with the intention to share it with Toyota. It is assumed that the next-generation version of the Lexus IS and GS will be based on this “truck”.

In the report of the Japanese automaker in March 2019 was first mentioned inline six-cylinder engine with system of mild hybrid. The company said that the technology will be launched sometime between 2020 and 2025, which corresponds to the intended date for the debut of the new coupe.
