McLaren has announced a new “long-tailed” supercar

The British organized their own show to replace canceled the Geneva motor show.

March 3, McLaren Automotive will hold at the technology centre in Woking press conference, which will be disclosed, “the next Chapter in the history of LT” – subfamily of models Longtail, which is positioned as “among the most track road”. No official details there, but judging by past spy pictures, we show a modified 720S.

This will be the sixth “longtail” Mclaren – after the original F1 GTR Longtail and the 675LT and 600LT models, each of which was released in coupe and Roadster. In addition to extended back, these supercars can boast of optimised aerodynamics, reduced weight and increase of power of several tens of horsepower. Given that the standard McLaren 720S is equipped with chetyrehlitrovy V8 720 HP and 770 Nm, we can assume that the LT version will give 750-760 HP or even more power will reflect in the title. Acceleration to the first hundred in less than 2.9 seconds. Edition is traditionally limited, and, judging by the sales of previous models of this line, will disperse it very quickly – provided the fans would have to hurry to place orders.

Initially, the novelty was planning to show at the Geneva motor show, but it was canceled due to the coronavirus. As a kind of compensation by the British manufacturer called own event #McLarenMotorshow. In addition to demonstrating how the supercar, it will tell you about other products and future plans. Leading will speak personally to the CEO of McLaren Automotive Mike Fluit.
