Mercedes – AMG has shown the public for the first time a pre-production prototype of its ambitious ONE hypercar, autohome.com reports. The car is made in the colors of the racing computer series Forza Horizon, in the last part of which it graced the main cover.

ONE is set to be the first hypercar in AMG’s sports division. Moreover, it will become part of the E Performance line. However, the model has been in development for a long time, since about 2017 inclusive, and each time it was overtaken by certain problems, which are mostly associated with the power plant. The car is built according to the patterns and technologies of Formula-1, which further complicates the process.

Interestingly, there is still no exact information about the recoil of the hybrid installation. It is known that a 1.6-liter V6 with the PU106C index has been adapted for it, capable of spinning up to 11 thousand rpm! Together with two electric motors, the total power must exceed 1,000 horsepower. Some media outlets suggest that a more accurate figure should be closer to 1,200 hp.

In any case, the gasoline-electric circuit is used to increase performance rather than to comply with eco-standards. A car can only travel about 25 kilometers on pure electricity.

The debut date has not yet been announced, but the entire circulation of 275 units has long been sold out. The price for each copy is close to $ 3 million.
