Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 equipped with two-liter turbo “four”, developing 306 HP and 400 Nm of torque, which is 82 HP and 50 Nm more than the recoil motor to the standard crossover. The engine is paired with eight-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches and four-wheel drive system AMG Performance 4Matic.
The car is able to accelerate from standstill to first “hundred” in 5.2 seconds. while its top speed is electronically limited at around 250 km per hour.
The specialists from AMG were significantly upgraded suspension to reduce body roll when cornering at high speed. In particular, on the front axle, they used the new steering knuckles and tie rod, while the rear used a specially designed sub-frame. Optionally available adaptive suspension AMG Ride Control.
In addition, the crossover received a new steering with the amplifier, changing the gear ratio depending on speed and sport brakes with 350 – and 330-mm discs at the front and rear respectively.
As for the exterior, the new product was the first “Junior” model with the index “35,” which got Panamericana grille with vertical fins. Plus, crossover can be distinguished from the standard car metal front splitter, two wide nozzles release, rear diffuser and spoiler and special 19-inch wheels.
European sales of the new crossover Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 will start in early 2020. The price of the car will be known later.
