At the consumer electronics show (CES) in Las Vegas Mercedes-Benz will show a new concept car. It is described as “innovative” and “inspired one of the most innovative brands in the entertainment industry”.
With the help of the concept Mercedes-Benz intends to rethink the concept of “environmentally friendly modern luxury”. The German manufacturer suggests innovative technological solutions and advanced multimedia capabilities, which will become a “benchmark for future mobility”, but no details have not yet been reported.
It is not excluded that the basis for the show car will be an electric sedan Vision EQS, presented in September of this year. This car will appear as a commodity model and become a battery-operated alternative to traditional S-Class. The main feature of EQS Vision lights Digital Light with rotating holographic lenses. They create a volumetric effect which looks like optics “floats” in space.
In motion Vision EQS leads a pair of electric motors with a total return of 476 horsepower and 760 Nm of torque. The stated power reserve is 700 dynamometer and acceleration from zero to hundred in 4.5 seconds. The battery on 100 kilowatt-hours can be connected to a 350-kilowatt charging and 20 minutes to fill up to 80 percent.
