Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 SE Performance at the IAA in Munich, which can be confused with the “regular” 63/63 S. However, the car has an aggressive front apron reminiscent of the two-door AMG GT model, as well as a cover in the rear bumper that hides the charging port.
As Mercedes-Benz sought to freshen up the look of the new electrified GT 63 SE, the changes have more to do with the design of the car. The AMG Performance Hybrid features new 20- and 21-inch light-alloy wheels painted in different colors. In addition, the car differs from the usual 63/63 S models in rare body shades: in this version there are seven of them.
The novelty is expected to compete with the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid. The hybrid will benefit from a combination of a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 and a rear-mounted electric motor. The machine is powered by a 2-speed electrically shifted gearbox with an electronically controlled rear limited-slip differential. The power of the hybrid is 831 hp. The car is also equipped with a 14 hp belt starter generator
Mercedes-AMG GT 63 SE Performance accelerates to 100 km / h in just 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 316 km / h.
