Mercedes CLS will be “smarter”


The company Mercedes-Benz announced on Thursday, June 4, the emergence of a new information and entertainment complex on the updated CLS-Class.

Thus, the novelty is the multimedia system COMAND will receive a brand MBUX. On the Central console are two 12.3-inch screen. New infotainment complex will be located next to the digital dashboard.

In particular, the emergence of MBUX allows you to control using the touch display that will make life easier for drivers. In addition, the new standard will be equipped with active brake assistants.

The redesigned CLS-Class will be offered in two variants: CLS450 and AMG CLS53. From technical side everything will remain the same. So, version CLS450 will receive 6-cylinder 3.0-liter turbo engine with EQ Boost performance 362 HP and 500 Nm of torque. This car will accelerate to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 5.1 seconds.


In turn, CLS53 will complement the same 6-cylinder engine with power of 429 HP and 581 Nm of torque. Acceleration to 60 mph (96 km/h) in this model is 4.4 seconds. Together with both motor will run 9-speed transmission.

The color palette of the new model, in particular, will add two new shades: silver and Mojave Cirrus silver. The German company has not yet published information about the cost of new items. Most likely, prices will manifest before the end of the year when dealers will get the redesigned CLS-Class.
