For the upcoming international motor show in Munich, which will open its doors to the general public in a few days, Daimler has prepared a whole galaxy of premieres. The manufacturer has already declassified several cars completely, without waiting for the start of the exhibition, while we are still familiar with the rest only from announcements, teasers and rumors.
Among the latter is a new product from the Mercedes-Maybach sub-brand. According to preliminary data, it will be a particularly luxurious performance of the all-electric crossover EQS SUV. So far, we have only seen this model in spy photos. According to the official roadmap of Mercedes, it will become serial only in 2022, and the version from Maybach will appear only in 2023. Accordingly, only the concept will be shown to us this month.
After 100 years, it’s time for a new beginning: Mercedes-Maybach will soon unveil the future of Sophisticated Luxury. Stay tuned for the Mercedes-Benz IAA Mobility Pre-Night on the 5th of September in Munich. # MBIAA21 #MercedesMaybach #Maybach #newbeginnings pic.twitter.com/XBZaRugUhi

For starters, Mercedes-Benz posted a short video on Twitter. There is not much to consider in it: a part of the front grille, a hood with a three-pointed star and the Maybach lettering and a couple of fragments. In the caption to the video, the manufacturer promises to reveal the “future of refined luxury” tomorrow, September 5, as part of the Mercedes-Benz IAA Mobility Pre-Night.
Several more electric vehicles, mostly serial, will be shown in Munich. This is a Mercedes-Benz EQE sedan, a “charged” modification of its older brother EQS, prepared by AMG, and a kind of crossover from Smart. The European debut of the EQB off-road vehicle will also take place there. They will be accompanied by the already declassified Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance hybrid, the S 680 Guard 4Matic armored car and the passable C-class All-Terrain station wagon. Finally, there are rumors about a battery-powered Gelendvagen: the premiere of its serial version is officially scheduled for 2024, but such an SUV can be presented as a show car right now.
