MG Cyberster show car to act as money bait

The two-seat two-door was designed by the SAIC Design Advanced London under the direction of Karl Gotham. He “borrowed a number of styling cues” from the classic MGB roadster (1962-1980) to show the “sporting ambition” of MG DNA.

The MG Cyberster concept roadster was previewed on March 31st at a brand strategy conference. It turned out to be one of the five main projects united by the Cyber line. The new series promotes the idea of “Cyber Co-Creation”, where users participate in the entire life cycle of electric cars and hybrids within the MG CyberCube community. Cybercube members will be able to gain experience points in polls, discussions and offline events, contributing to the “ecosystem of the cyber universe”. The first task is crowdfunding: you need to raise 50 million yuan (580 million rubles) for Cyberster to reach mass production.

Korma is Kammback’s tail. If the Magic Eye’s interactive headlights “open when turned on,” the graphics of the lights echo the British flag. An LED “laser belt” runs along the perimeter.

Before sitting at the W-shaped steering wheel, similar to a gamepad, the driver must put his hand to the fingerprint scanner. The identification of a passenger separated by a partition is similar. There are no exterior mirrors, so the picture from the side cameras is displayed digitally.

Cyberster is the firstborn of the modular EV architecture, which will be unveiled at the end of the year and will obviously go to the Zhiji / IM brand. The CTP “modular” battery promises a range of 800 km (NEDC), while the new “eight-layer” engine will accelerate from 0-100 km in three seconds. The autopilot corresponds to the third level, communication – to the 5G standard, the software is updated “over the air”. Cyberster’s full-fledged premiere will take place at the Shanghai Auto Show (April 19-28).

Although it is definitely an unfinished replica, I would be interested in contact details, anyway. Maybe this could be an interesting project.
