MINI revealed the electric concept to the public at the Los Angeles Motor Show. The British automaker did not say if the Vision Urbanaut will spawn a production model. That would be a very interesting suggestion.
The vision of the Vision Urbanaut can be attributed to the MINI brand thanks to its round headlights and LED strip. The concept features a large faux front grille, illuminated blue wheels, a single sliding door and a windshield that can be opened outward.
The salon of the concept is of the greatest interest. The driver’s seat can be rotated, while the passenger seat and dashboard fold out.
The back seat looks like a sofa. MINI has equipped the concept with a small flower box and table. A range of recycled materials are also used throughout, including wool, polyester and tencel. Bottle caps are used to make the steering wheel and parts of the floor of the concept car.
It is clear that the concept has received a positive reaction since its presentation. Speaking of this at the Munich Motor Show in September, MINI designer Oliver Heilmer said that BMW is considering a production version.
