Those producers who expect to enter the market of ultra-compact sports hatchbacks usually rely on the capacity of around 200 horsepower, since it is the version released by Renault, Ford and Volkswagen in the form of the Clio RS, Fiesta ST and Polo GTI, respectively, however, the market situation can change MINI.
It is reported that the British brand in 2020 will release MINI John Cooper Works (JCW) GP – impressive model will be the most powerful production car, the MINI, as its 2-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine can develop over 300 horsepower.
The model will serve as the closing current generation, and in many ways follow in the footsteps of presents a few years ago the concept of the JCW GP. As for the visual updates compared to the basic version, expect the new aerodynamic body kit, a different grille, an aggressive diffuser and a massive wing on the roof.
Production JCW GP will be limited to 3000 copies, and the premiere model will take place in the autumn, likely at the Frankfurt motor show in September. Until then, the novelty will be tested on the track at the Nurburgring.
