Mitsubishi has announced a new concept car, Ralliart, which will debut in mid-January 2022 at the Tokyo International Auto Show. The novelty, named after the sub-brand revived this year, is intended to show the potential and nature of its future projects.
New projects from the Ralliart sub-brand, obviously, should be more than just “embellished” versions of standard models, which were presented in Thailand by the Pajero Sport Ralliart SUV and the Triton Ralliart pickup. Neither one nor the other received any serious improvements, and all their features were reduced to the original accents in the design.
At the same time, nothing is known for certain about the Ralliart strategic concept car. All that is is the only teaser, which showed the rear bumper of a certain car with a developed diffuser.
It is possible that this concept will be a powerful crossover developed on the basis of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV hybrid variant. With its help, Mitsubishi will be able to demonstrate the design, as well as the direction of further development of the Ralliart sub-brand, under which “charged” cars with exclusive body “plumage” will most likely be produced.
