Mocha is the new flagship of the Wey brand

Great Wall Motor has distributed official photos of the new model-a mid-size crossover under its premium brand WEY. The novelty received a name that is transliterated into Latin as Mocha. What is actually meant is “mocha”, not what you might think – the car is named after the coffee variety.

The crossover has a 5-door body and style echoes other models of the brands WEY and Haval (it is also part of the Great Wall). True, the “Mocha” exterior tends to be more concise – there is a minimum of stamping-faces on the panels, and those that are there are made unobtrusive. Attention is drawn to the huge hexagonal radiator grille, mirrors on legs and fashionable sliding door handles with servos.

The length, width and height of the cross are 4875, 1960 and 1690 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2915 mm. It will be equipped with a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engine with a capacity of 213 forces. There will be also a modification of the “rechargeable hybrid”. The gearbox is automatic, the number of stages is not specified. The drive type is also not disclosed.

A full presentation of the new product is scheduled for January 20, 2021. At the same time, the salon and all the technical details will be revealed.
