More than 3,000 BMW and MINI cars abandoned in Canada

After a blizzard six years ago, these 3,000 models did not leave the impractical territory of Vancouver.

In Canada, they found a parking lot with 3,000 abandoned BMW and MINI cars, which were stuck in difficult terrain in Vancouver for almost six years. And for those whose idea is to “bring them back” and “remake”, there is unfortunately no hope of recovery.

Why? For the simple reason that these 3,000 models were exposed to salt and moisture when they arrived at the port of Halifax in February 2015. But the matter does not end there, as they subsequently suffered even more. A terrible blizzard swept across Canada and caused significant damage as electrical circuits, starters and steering racks simply failed.

However, these cars could have been saved if the authorities had ordered their removal in time. Unfortunately, BMW did not find it economically feasible to carry out the repairs and the Bavarian firm chose to replace the damaged cars directly.

Besides the BMW M4, there are other pretty attractive models that were hit by the storm, as seen in a video posted on Instagram supercars.fails.

Here you can see the brand new BMW M6, another i8, a hybrid sports car from the German manufacturer, and perhaps the most striking because of its exclusivity is the very rare Alpina B6.

We also advise you to watch a detailed test drive of the BMW Alpina XB7 2021 from the FineAuto team:
