Journalists of the Swedish edition Teknikens Varld conducted a moose test of the first electric crossover Ford – Mustang Mach-E. This test simulates the driver’s attempt to avoid a collision with an obstacle that suddenly appears on the road, which may be, for example, an elk that has run out onto the road.
During the test, it turned out that the electrocross is not able to overcome an obstacle at the reference 77 km / h, and even at a low speed of 68 km / h, the rear of the car goes into a skid and knocks down cones. If you go faster, you can completely lose control of the Mustang Mach-E.
Journalists from Teknikens Varld reminded that not all electric SUVs demonstrate such results. Thus, the Tesla Model Y electrocross copes with the “moose test” at 75 km / h, and the Hyundai Ioniq 5 – at 72 km / h.
As a reminder, the Ford Mustang Mach-E has been in production since October 2020.
