The publication of the Green Car Journal announced the winner of Green Car of the Year (Green car of the year”), which traditionally choose the best hybrid model with a highly efficient power plant. This year the main prize took a Toyota Corolla, while Honda CR-V was the first in the category of crossovers.
Corolla the main competitors were the Ford Escape, Hyundai Sonata, KIA Soul, and Mazda3, and for the victory among crossovers, in addition to Honda CR-V has battled Ford Explorer Hybrid, Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid, Toyota Highlander Hybrid, and Toyota RAV4.
Honda CR-V 2020 model year was the first hybrid crossover of the brand in the North American market. According to the brand plan, by 2030, two-thirds of the range Honda will be equipped with electric propulsion systems. Now electrified automobiles are in steady demand in 2019, sales of these models rose by 34 percent and reached the mark of 50 thousand copies.
