Selected European markets received a new Alpina B3, which has become the first truly high-performance version of the BMW G20 3-Series.
Currently available for ordering sedan Alpina B3 2020 model year at a price 81 250 euros and the Touring version for 83 050 euros.
The performance of both models meets the modified 3.0-liter straight six-cylinder engine producing 455 HP and 700 Nm of torque, which is available from 2.5 thousand revolutions per minute. Turbochargers acquired Alpina housings with optimised flow and the power plant gets a new cooling system and new air intake.
As powertrain uses 8-speed automatic ZF gearbox with Alpina software hydraulic electronic unit mechatronics, which allows to obtain high-quality feedback and provides high speed switching. The driver has several modes of transmission from “Comfort” to “SuperSport”.
In the back of the steering wheel there is a distinctive toggle buttons Alpina Switchtronic, however, customers can first choose a pair of black matte petals of aluminum.
The torque is transmitted to all four wheels via a modified team Alpina all-wheel drive system BMW xDrive. Limited slip differential on the rear axle is standard. This “stuffing” Alpina B3 allows to accelerate from standstill to the first hundred in 3.8 seconds and to the “second hundred” – for 13.4 seconds. For the universal time of passing distances is 3.9 and 13.9 seconds, respectively. The maximum speed that develops the sedan is 303 km/h, and Touring – 300 km/h.
Both versions feature a chassis with adaptive dampers with three modes of settings, which combined with stiffer springs and bigger stabilizer bars. Front disc brakes (395 mm diameter) are working with 4-piston calipers, made in the corporate color is Alpina Blue.
Standard kit includes 19-inch mnogopaltsevy wheels and forged Alpina Classic 20 inches are available as options.
