New Audi A3 hatch has a ‘moose test’

Specialists of the Spanish Agency 77km decided to bring the new Audi A3 hatchback to the “moose test”. The corresponding video on Thursday, November 19, the publication posted on its Youtube channel.

For the first time, the tester failed to successfully complete the test at a speed of 77 km/h. Several subsequent tests have shown that the driver is unable to complete the required trajectory without blurring at speeds of more than 72 km/h.

The increase in speed caused the car to hit the cones that bounded the corridor. Even after the specialist studied the possible reactions of hatch, it was not possible to cope with understeer. According to the testers, high-speed taxiing leads to unpleasant feelings for the driver due to the weight of the steering wheel.

Experts believe that the slip of the car after exceeding a certain speed threshold is caused rather not by the suspension settings, but by the tires: the test Audi A3 Sportback has Bridgestone Turanza rubber. In turn, it is noted that, despite the knocked-down cones, the behavior of the car remained predictable.
