Images of the new RS 3 sedan and hatchback appeared on the web before the official premiere.
Audi has failed to keep the exterior and interior of the new RS 3 family a secret. Images of new products have appeared on social networks. Since the technical stuffing of the RS 3 family is known from the Audi brand itself, the future premiere of “charged” models may turn into a formality: only the timing of market launch, cost, and also some characteristics will remain a secret. The world debut of the new Audi RS 3 will take place in September at the IAA Munich Motor Show.
Recall that in June, Audi showed images of the RS 3 sedan and hatchback in light camouflage and said that the new generation of the model will receive an all-wheel drive transmission with two multi-plate clutch packages, and its difference will be the presence of a drift mode. Another highlight of the new Audi RS 3 will be the headlights with a checkered flag DRL pattern.
Another interesting detail of the new Audi RS 3 family is the radiator grille with wide glossy black surround. Otherwise, the differences between the RS 3 and the S3 boil down to the following: the top modifications have large oval exhaust pipes, a front bumper with enlarged air intakes, an upgraded diffuser, and special wheels.
Inside, the new Audi RS 3 family is most easily recognizable by the thick sports front seats, trim materials, dashboard pattern and Alcantara-lined multifunction steering wheel. It is known that the equipment of the new Audi RS 3 will retain the “turbo five” 2.5, which produces 400 hp. and 500 Nm of torque, and the only transmission will be a 7-speed preselective “robot”. The next generation RS 3 family is slated to begin sales in Europe in the fall.
