Venucia, formed in 2010 by Nissan and Dongfeng, is preparing for the premiere of a new crossover, which will be one step below the Star SUV in the brand’s lineup. A couple of days ago, sketches of the novelty appeared on the Web, and now its technical characteristics have been declassified and brand images have been published.
The crossover is expected to be named V-Online. The car, which will be based on the VSA platform, is positioned as a youth model. Its length will be 4562 mm, width – 1917 mm, height – 1617 mm, and the size of the wheelbase will be 2700 mm. These dimensions, by comparison, represent a cross between the Nissan X-Trail and the fresh European Nissan Qashqai.
As can be seen from the first official images, outwardly Venucia V-Online will noticeably overlap with its “older” brother Star, but will not be left without original solutions. So, for example, the new cross will get a more sloping roof, narrower lighting equipment, as well as enlarged LED DRLs, made in the form of three strips. In addition, the SUV will be equipped with a large spoiler and a panoramic roof.
The brand did not show how the V-Online salon will look like. But earlier he appeared in one of the spy photos. Judging by it, the crossover will have a large display that combines a virtual instrument panel and a multimedia system screen, under which there will be air vents and a row of keys.
V-Online will have the same engine as its larger cousin Star. This is a 1.5-liter gasoline “turbo four” with a capacity of 190 horsepower and 260 Nm. As in the case of the Venucia Star, the V-Online will only have front-wheel drive.
The new model of the Nissan and Dongfeng brand will go on sale in China by the end of 2021. Pricing has not yet been announced.
