The company continues to modernize its range of engines, announced the release of crossover Duster c petrol engine TCe 100.
The Romanian version of the crossover, which in Europe is sold under the name of Dacia Duster will receive a new, more economical powerplant. Replacing a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine naturally aspirated SCe 115, 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo engine TCe 100 provides reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, and increase torque.
Built at the Romanian factory in Pitesti, the TCe 100 is one of the latest developments of the Alliance Renault Nissan. Offered exclusively with a 5-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive, three-cylinder turbo engine delivers a power of 100 BHP and torque of 160 Nm.
Say thanks to turbocharging, the engine provides increased responsiveness and greater energy efficiency, mainly due to higher peak torque which is reached at a lower engine speed. In this case acceleration to 100 km/h the model is now 12.5 seconds (11.9 seconds before), while top speed is 168 km/h.
However, the new power plant provides CO2 emissions and fuel consumption by 18 percent lower than SCe 115. The average fuel consumption WLTP is 5.5 l/100 km In France the new engine is available in trim levels and Access Essential, cost of which starts from 12 490 euros.
