Geely will soon bring the successor to the Emgrand 7 sedan to the Chinese market. Photos of the new car have already been leaked online, published by Autohome.com.cn.
According to preliminary data, the sedan will appear on the market under the name Emgrand EC7, although it is still known as SS11. The model will be built on the BMA platform, known for the Binyue crossover. The novelty will most likely share the power plant with Coolrey: a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a volume of 1.5 liters, which produces 177 horsepower on a crossover and works in tandem with a seven-speed “robot”.
The design of the novelty is made with an eye to the flagship crossover KX11, aka Xingyue-l. At the same time, Emgrand EC7 will receive original LED optics with multi-section running lights and taillights connected by a luminous strip. The salon will be equipped with a widescreen multimedia system, and the number of physical buttons will be minimized.
The Emgrand 7, which entered the market in 2009, remained Geely’s most affordable model. It is likely that the new EC7 will also be cheaper than the current cars of the brand.
