Ford of Europe is in the process of restructuring, which will lead to the fact that company eliminates MPV model range and focus on crossovers.
While the automaker has promised to give Europeans “a niche portfolio of iconic models”, obviously, will be one notable omission – the long-awaited Bronco will not come to this part of the continent.
In the company’s statement of income in the second quarter, the automaker announced that a future competitor to the Jeep Wrangler will be offered in North America, Africa and the middle East. And the Baby Bronco model is also not designed for Europe. Instead, the presentation shows that the crossover will be offered only in North and South America.
Interestingly, no slide shows which models will be offered with a hybrid drivetrain. It’s a bit surprising, as the company previously confirmed the emergence of hybrid Ford Bronco in 2018. At the same time the representatives of the brand stated that they are “universal push to hybrid electrical engineering to provide customers with new features and functionality in high volumes at such iconic vehicles as the F-150, Mustang, Explorer, Escape and Bronco”.
Note that the base Ford Bronco will be available in 2020 and will be driven by a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder. He will probably have a design in retro-style ??as well as removable doors and roof.
