The automaker just announced that both version of the iconic muscle car will receive a limited edition modification of the Heritage Edition Package. This execution model dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the GT350 and the historic coupe-sedan Carroll Shelby in 1965.
In August of this year, Ford showed “charged” sports coupe Mustang Shelby GT350 and GT350R in version 2020 model year. The cars received some significant mechanical improvements, the revised geometry of the front chassis, new steering rack and a calibrated steering with electric power steering. Apparently, this will not be the only updates for the new model year, as the automaker just announced that both version of the iconic muscle car will receive a limited edition modification of the Heritage Edition Package.
This execution model dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the GT350 and the historic coupe-sedan Carroll Shelby in 1965.
The body of the car in the exclusive design will get the classic white color Wimbledon White with side stripes Guardsman Blue racing stripes, which will make them look like a racing model GT350 sample of 1965. These machines were created by the legendary Shelby. Front and rear will be special badges, and in the cabin there will be another signboard, talking about the features of this version of the model. In addition, the GT350R gets a black seat with red stitching.
“Looking back, we decided to celebrate the fact that Ford and Carroll Shelby created in the mid 60’s a real masterpiece, this is a very important milestone in the history of the sporty Mustang,” says Jim Owens, marketing Manager for Ford Mustang. “Because of its original trim, impressive dynamic performance, which Mr. Shelby could only dream of, cars Mustang Shelby GT350 and GT350R, the Heritage Edition Package is a significant tribute to the heritage of the brand Shelby”.
So, the Heritage Edition package is already available for order from dealers of the brand at a minimum price of 60 $ 440 for the GT350, and 73 of 435 dollars for the GT350R. Production will start in early 2020, and the first deliveries to customers scheduled for the spring of next year.
