Haval is preparing to launch production of a new SUV with an internal factory index P03 – the model will be on the assembly line in October 2021. Insiders say that this is the next generation H9.
Information about the new Haval H9 appeared on the Weibo social network, and the Chinese Cars website drew attention to it. It is reported that the P03 will be built on the platform of the frame Wey Tank 300. The future H9 can also borrow a 2.0-liter engine from it, probably in combination with an eight-band automatic transmission. However, if this unit produces 227 horsepower on the Tank 300, then the H9 will either get a forced version, or the 2.0 will be included in the hybrid power plant.
Along with the details about the model, unofficial renders of the new generation Haval H9 have appeared on the social network. The SUV is shown with a massive front bumper and tapered optics.
Haval is also working on the next generation H5, which is still known as the P02. According to unconfirmed reports, this SUV will also move to the Wey Tank 300 platform and increase in size.
