Along with the already announced Land Cruiser 300, the Japanese automaker is preparing to present a new Lexus LX this year. The premiere of the SUV is scheduled for the end of the year – about 2-3 months after the debut of the “300”, which will be presented in May.
As before, the new Lexus LX will remain essentially a more complete and richer analogue of the Toyota Land Cruiser.
According to the Best Car portal, the new LX will keep in its arsenal a 5.7-liter petrol V8 of the UR family. For comparison, the Land Cruiser 300 will only be equipped with 6-cylinder engines. In addition, for the first time, the LX will receive a modification with a hybrid powertrain (LX500h).
The diesel version of the LX500d will receive a 3.3-liter 6-cylinder engine with double supercharging from the “300”. And at the top of the hierarchy of the large Lexus SUV will be the LX600 modification, which will be equipped with a 3.5-liter “turbo six” with a capacity of 422 hp.
According to the source, orders for the new Lexus LX will begin to be accepted in October this year.
