A very cool Lancia 037 restomod was spotted at the auto show. According to eyewitnesses, the car looks and sounds amazing. It is known that a total of 37 copies of this car will be produced.
This May, Kimera Automobili revived the legendary Lancia 037 with a special project called the EVO37. At the time, the company announced that it would only produce 37 examples of the supercar, and it looks like deliveries have already begun. One such EVO37 was recently filmed during the 2021 Passione Engadina event in Switzerland.
NM2255 Car HD Videos on YouTube brings us this eight-minute video showing footage of one of 37 slated for production of the unique restomod in a silver body color.
This is a different car compared to the red one presented in May this year. All we can say is that it looks and sounds absolutely amazing and definitely brings back memories of the original Lancia sports car.
Part of the magic is that the restomod retains the 2.1-liter four-cylinder engine that powers the original Italian supercar. The heavily modified inline-four now produces 505 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque. Combined with a manual transmission, the engine sends power to the rear wheels just like the original Lancia 037.
However, the performance improvements don’t end there. The? Hlins team is in charge of the four-way suspension, and Brembo, depending on the car’s specification, may provide carbon-ceramic brakes. The entire body, which is slightly longer than the original Lancia, is made of carbon fiber, and carbon fiber is visible in various places, including the front and dashboard. Of course, all exterior headlights are now fully LED.
