Mercedes-Benz has already started testing the new compact crossover GLC. This is confirmed by the debut spy photos, which the Agency Carscoop published on Monday, may 25.
The concept of the photos is heavily camouflaged, but, apparently, under the camouflage hides a prototype with a serial body.
Judging by the pictures, the new GLC is longer, and has a lower roofline than the current model, and a stretched wheelbase. You may also notice that the second generation cross (code name X254) has a longer and more horizontal bonnet.
In addition, headlights and original wheels prototype, most likely, will appear on the machine, which fall into the “series”, but the taillights will be different. It is expected that the novelty will be offered exclusively with the electrified powertrains.
New GLC will be more technologically advanced than the current model of the Mercedes GLC, and get a new driver assistance system and modern corporate media system MBUX. It is expected that the novelty will receive a screen dashboard, visually combined with the display of the infotainment complex.
New generation Mercedes-Benz GLC will be produced at the plant in Sindelfingen, Germany. The debut of new items should be held in 2022.
