For non-payment of the new tariffs, drivers in the capital will not be fined for the first two weeks.
From July 1, new tariffs for parking cars in the center and near the city center on municipal sites along roads and streets have been established in Kiev.
According to the press service of the Kiev City State Administration, from now on, the cost of an hour of parking in the center of the capital is 35 hryvnia (it was 10 UAH / hour)
As for the second zone (areas adjacent to the center), the cost of parking there is now 25 hryvnia (it was 7 hryvnia / hour). And only in the dormitory districts of Kiev parking rates remained unchanged – 5 hryvnia per hour.
“In case of non-payment for parking, drivers will be fined 20 times the cost of an hour of parking depending on the zone – 700, 500 and 100 hryvnia, respectively,” the press service said.
At the same time, for the first two weeks, starting from Friday, July 1, parking inspectors will not be fined for non-payment of the new tariffs.
“If the inspector finds a car, the owner of which has not paid for parking, he will put on the windshield a printed information note explaining the amount of the fine and the procedure for payment. The loyalty period is from 1 to 16 July,” said Deputy Chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Konstantin Usov.
On weekends, as well as on weekdays from 22:00 to 8:00, parking remains free.
