The debut of new items can be organized as early as 2021. In April, spies caught a new Kadjar in Sweden. Now the test prototype is being tested in hot weather on the roads of southern Europe.
The new generation Renault Kadjar, which rolled off the assembly line back in 2015, will receive a sharper style. We see this in the latest spy shots. The French SUV received sportier proportions and shorter overhangs.
Moreover, if you look closely, you can find similarities with the Nissan Qashqai from some angles. This is not surprising as Kadjar is expected to use Qashqai’s CMF-C platform.
Apparently, the new Renault Kadjar will receive both mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains. A fully electric modification will also appear, but at a later date. The role of the base engine may go to Renault’s 1.3-liter turbocharged gasoline engine.
More advanced SUV trims will use hybrid transmissions.
But there will be no new diesel in the engine range. The cross in the spy photos shows a bold LED design despite its many claddings and disguises. The layout is similar to that found on the Megane eVision concept we saw last year. True, Kadjar shows a more realistic version compared to the futuristic concept.
No release date for the upcoming Renault Kadjar has been set yet, but we expect to debut by the end of the year or early 2022 at the latest.
