New Renault Sandero will get a hybrid version


The French newspaper L Argus revealed details about the Dacia Sandero hatchback of the third generation. The novelty will be transferred to the new platform, “inherit” line of powertrains Renault Clio, will improve equipment, safety and quality of finishing materials. Premiere Sandero will probably be held at the Paris motor show 2020.

Developing a budget family of models Dacia, Renault-Nissan was forced to change the architecture to meet the European environmental standard and to ensure an acceptable passive safety according to the results of the crash tests. The new Sandero will abandon the cart and B0 will be based on a simplified version of the platform CMF-B, familiar to a fifth-generation Clio and Nissan Juke.


It is projected that the basic power units will be three-cylinder litre gasoline engines capacity of 75 and 100 horsepower. A more powerful turbo engine capacity of 1.3 liters Sandero will not receive. The range of diesel engines will be reduced to only 85 HP 1.5 dCi motor. The top version of the Sandero Stepway will become a full-fledged crossover and will get moderately a hybrid power plant E-Tech total return 140 horsepower, consisting of atmospheric 1.6 and electric additional.

It is expected that the European version of the Sandero debuted in the fall and will go on sale in the last quarter of 2020. After the change of generations, the hatchback is slightly more expensive – 200-300 euros.
