Skoda will officially unveil the new, fourth generation of its best-selling model Octavia 11 November in Prague. Now the car passes last tests on the roads of the Czech Republic.
Although initially it was about a public debut in Frankfurt, the manufacturer still decided to move him to the middle of November, so as not to shift the focus from other new products showroom. Octavia still holds the title of most popular car in the company’s portfolio, but also one of the world’s best-selling.
Since the premiere was only a little more than a month, the new generation of models with greater diligence is the last test before the debut. Thursday, October 3, Czech edition of Garaz.ch released new footage from a pre-production prototype of the liftback.
According to HR, the car will lose the dual headlights, which first appeared on the restyled version of the third generation and still cause disapproval among the fans of “Octavia”. Front part of the machine design will now be closer to the “older” model of the Superb.
In the motor scheme, no radical changes are expected: the car will still be equipped with gasoline turbo engine volume from liters to one and a half, will also be available two “diesel” displacement of 1.6 and 2.0 liters. It is likely that with the change of generations of Octavia will receive a hybrid modification.
