The all-new Toyota Land Cruiser is already a huge hit with Japanese buyers, but cars are often involved in accidents. The most recent road accident occurred recently in Al Quraine, Kuwait, and images posted on Facebook show the SUV was overturned.
It’s hard to say what caused the accident, but it looks like it happened near an intersection. The absence of damage to the roof (except for the broken hatch) also indicates that the Land Cruiser did not overturn, but only “lay down” on its side, most likely at a relatively low speed. However, we are confident that that side was badly damaged.
This is not the first incident with the new Land Cruiser 300 series. In early July, just weeks after the model’s debut, four examples were destroyed after the truck that transported them capsized in Salalah, Oman. And already in the first week of August, another Land Cruiser 300 was damaged after a collision with a Toyota Camry, this time in our country.
As a reminder, the new Land Cruiser retains the familiar body structure on the frame, but is equipped with a new GA-F platform based on Toyota’s New Global Architecture (TNGA). It reduces the overall weight of the vehicle by 200 kg. The engine range consists of two turbocharged V6s: a 3.5-liter petrol with 409 hp. and a 3.3-liter diesel with 304 hp
