The Japanese company introduced its hydrogen car Mirai in the fall of 2013 in the framework of the Tokyo motor show. If earlier it was assumed that at the end of this year, the company already displays “second” Mirai to market, now reported about another premiere: according to the Japanese publication Best Car Web, Toyota intends in October-November 2020 present the commercial version of the new hydrogen sedan. Sale “chetyrehdverki” in the domestic market will begin in early 2021.
Earlier it became known that the car of the second generation will be almost to repeat the pre-series concept that was presented last fall. The number of differences larger rear view mirrors and fog light in the centre of the rear bumper.
According to the publication, the sedan compared to the current Mirai will add to the length of 30 mm (up to 4920 mm) width – 5 mm (up to 1820 mm) and is lower by 35 mm (up to 1500mm). According to preliminary data, the starting price tag for the new Toyota Mirai in Japan will be about 8 million yen (equivalent to approximately 74 $ 400 at current exchange rates). Current hydrogen-powered sedan in the domestic market to buy at least 7 409 600 yen (about $68 900).
While it is not clear which countries will be sold Mirai second generation. One of the main markets for Toyota remains the US, so, most likely, here the new will bring.
