Concern Stellantis has officially announced the premiere of the fifth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV, which will officially debut on September 29. The model was supposed to be presented back in August at a motor show in New York, but the event was canceled due to a new outbreak of coronavirus.
The exterior of the car can be judged by the Grand Cherokee L SUV with three rows of seats, presented earlier this year. The model with a five-seater saloon will receive similar frontal optics, however, it will differ from the L-version by reduced overhangs and design of the rear part of the body.
A fully digital 10.3-inch dashboard will appear in the cabin, as well as a 10.1-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment complex. The list of available options will include the proprietary Quadra-Lift adaptive air suspension.
As for the engine lineup, it will include gasoline units with a working volume of 3.6 liters and 5.7 liters, developing 194 and 362 hp. respectively. Both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and optional AWD.
Finally, for the first time, the SUV will have a modification with a hybrid power plant with the ability to recharge batteries from external power sources. There are no details about such a version yet.
