Nissan is going to permanently stop production Cube

The Japanese Corporation is going to permanently stop production of the Nissan Cube.

It should be mentioned that the base Nissan Cube is the platform of Renault-Nissan B0, and since the generation of Z12, which debuted in 2008, Cube, began to sell outside the Japanese market, although the 2nd generation model was produced only with right-hand drive. However, neither in Europe nor in America the car is not appreciated, its sales were initially modest, but later they all dropped to minuscule values.

As a result, the model Cube is gone from the European market in 2011, and with the us – in 2014. And if the manufacturer could keep selling only on the domestic market, now the Corporation adheres to a different strategy.

Last year, global sales of Nissan amounted to 5.5 million vehicles, of which only 570 000 units were sold in Japan.

That is, only 10.3% of sales provided by the home market. In connection with such performance of the Japanese brand considers it inappropriate to invest in the creation of novelties, which will appear in key brand markets (America and China).

In addition, now the Nissan Corporation is going through difficult times, global sales of the brand are reduced, and to reduce costs, the automaker is willing to go on a massive reduction and sale of the units. So, the Nissan Cube will live only until December this year.
