At the end of the 2019 Nissan plans to release a new generation of its compact crossover Juke, which in its current form has been manufactured for nearly 10 years.
According to AutoExpress, the new generation model will be released on the platform of Alliance CMF-B, which will allow the use of electrified powertrains. We already know that the Juke will be among the first cars on the platform, which got a plug-in hybrid powertrain technology.
It is expected that the powertrain will consist of a 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and electric motor, powered by batteries with a capacity of 9.8 kWh, which should allow Juke to drive about 32 km on just one electric power.
In the road map Nissan considers the question of release and a conventional hybrid Juke, but more interestingly, it has plans to release a pure electric vehicle based on the model, which should become a competitor to the KIA e-Niro and Hyundai Kona Electric.
In addition to the new powertrains, Juke 2020 will get more interior space by increasing the wheelbase and overall dimensions of the model.
