Nissan launches new low-cost crossover Nissan Magnite to the global market. The car, which until recently was sold exclusively in India, will now be sold in Nepal, South Africa and Indonesia.
Recall that Nissan Magnite is based on the CMF-A platform from Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi. Crossover dimensions: length – 3,998 millimeters (mm), width – 1,758 mm, height – 1,572 mm, distance between axles – 2,500 mm, ground clearance – 205 mm. The boot capacity reaches 336 liters.
Crossovers, which are supplied for export, are offered only with a turbocharged 1.0-liter engine with a capacity of 99 hp, it is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission or a variator. In India, for comparison, the Nissan Magnite is offered with a 1.0 liter engine in two boost versions – 72 and 100 hp. The first option is naturally aspirated, the second is turbocharged. The engines are paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, and a variator is also available for the 100-horsepower version. Front-wheel drive exclusively in all markets.
The list of Magnite equipment includes: full LED optics, multimedia system with an 8-inch display, JBL audio system, a 7-inch digital instrument panel, contactless charging for gadgets and cameras.
The cost of Nissan Magnite in South Africa starts at $ 18,000. The cost of the base model in India is about $ 7,600.
