Nissan Murano: more expensive but safer

Nissan has announced details about the 2021 Murano, which has received updates thanks to the introduction of a large number of safety systems for the standard modification, as well as three new body paint shades.

For the 2021 model year, Murano now offers the Nissan Safety Shield 360 package in the basic version for the entire line, including an exclusive rear automatic braking system for this class.

Additionally, Nissan has replaced the previous SV Premium package with a new Special Edition package priced at $ 2,530 and is adding features such as a two-panel sunroof, intelligent circular view monitor, Prima-Tex upholstered seats, heated front seats, and a set of 20-inch Dark Charcoal alloy wheels. An 8-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is offered in the basic version for the entire line.

However, the addition of additional security-enhancing hardware in the original version increased the cost of the 2021 Murano. Now, price tags start at $ 32,510 in its basic S FWD form. The new body colors are Magnetic Black Pearl, Boulder Grey Pearl and Scarlet Ember Tintcoat, while the 2021 Murano model range consists of four trim levels: S, SV, SL and Platinum.

Nissan hasn’t made any changes under the Murano’s hood. The car is still equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 unit with 260 horsepower and 325 Nm, which works in tandem with the Xtronic CVT transmission. All-wheel drive is available in all trim levels at a price of $ 1,550.
