The armed forces of Ukraine has adopted the armored vehicle Kozak 2М1, which developed and manufactures the industry NGO Practice. The corresponding order was signed by the Minister of defense of Ukraine Andrei Taran, writes DefenseExpress, reports Корреспондент.net.

Kozak 2М1 meets NATO standards of protection against small arms and mine protection. The armored car can withstand fire armor-piercing-incendiary bullets caliber 7. 62×39 in any projection and the undermining 8 kg mine or a mine under the wheel. To increase protection of the crew and troops it is equipped with mine sensors and multi-layered floors.

The armored vehicle has a full bearing hull that distinguishes it from other similar armored vehicles, which are usually built on the basis of SUVs, or trucks.

Kozak 2М1 weighs 14 tons. He’s mobile and has a high permeability and a maximum speed of 110 km / h.

During the test, the car traveled more than 15 thousand kilometers, in particular, and areas, which are intended solely for the movement of tracked vehicles.

Main weapons Kozak 2М1 is a 12.7 mm heavy machine gun NSV, which is installed in a protected turret. It provides aimed fire at a distance up to 2 km against ground targets. The crew of the armored vehicles is 8 guests – 2 crew and 6 soldiers in the troop compartment.

We will remind, armored Cossack 2М1 and VARTA-Innovator have been tested in Ukraine in November 2019. The machine received positive feedback from all representatives of the working group who participated in the trials.
