Not needed, but so expensive

A collection of 37 classic Land Rover SUVs is up for sale on eBay. Almost all cars require serious restoration: many of them are completely rusted. In addition, the cars are located in different parts of the US. However, along with them, the seller is ready to give away a huge amount of spare parts, which he stores in two 12-meter containers. The collection is asking for $500,000.

The owner built up his extensive collection over the course of several years when he opened a Land Rover repair business, through which he earned money to study at a medical university. After completing his studies, he decided to part with all SUVs.

The collection contains 37 classics, including nineteen 1995 Range Rover Soft Dash, a pair of second-generation Land Rover Discovery, a vintage V8-powered Range Rover Chop Top, seven first-generation Discovery, two Defender 110s and a 130 with twin cabin and the only 2008 Range Rover with a turbocharged engine.

In addition to cars, the owner will give away a collection of spare parts that he keeps in stock in two 12-meter containers. The parts list includes several eight-cylinder units, a Defender 130 unibody, as well as a new chassis, transmissions and many small components.

The main problem for the future buyer will be the location of SUVs. According to the seller, the cars are in different parts of the US. The owner asked for $500,000 for his collection.

Last September, a collection of cars used in the filming of Mad Max: Fury Road was put up for auction in Australia. It was possible to purchase 13 unique vehicles in one lot.
