It can be plotted to combine with the final part of the series.
The next 10th issue of the Fast and the Furious franchise will hit the big screens on April 7, 2023. Filming will begin in January 2022, reports Entertainment Weekly.
Justin Lin will sit in the director’s chair again, having shot parts from the third to the sixth, as well as the last to date, the ninth. Most of the cast are expected to return to their roles – with the exception of Dwayne Johnson, who is rumored to be at odds with Dominic Toretto’s Vin Diesel.
“I wish them the best of luck with Fast 10 and Fast 11 and other Fast & Furious films that they are filming without me,” “The Rock” told reporters.
Most likely, the tenth “Fast and the Furious” will be attended by Jason Statham, whose character Deckard Shaw briefly appeared in F9. In addition, Gal Gadot can return to the image of Giselle Yashar: although she seems to have died during the events of Fast & Furious 6, the feint with the “resurrection” of Han Liu (Song Kang) proves that the creators of the series do not stop such things. At the same time, there are no details about the plot at the moment.
There is an assumption that the tenth and eleventh parts will be filmed in parallel: supposedly two films will tell a common extended story that will end the franchise. The same Vin Diesel spoke about the “final trilogy” back in 2015.
Despite the pandemic, due to which the release of the ninth “Fast and the Furious” was repeatedly postponed and eventually took place only in May this year, the movie earned more than $ 680 million at the box office with a budget of $ 200 million. At the same time, the lion’s share of the money – $ 509 million – was brought by shows outside the United States.
