“Not very reliable”: the Japanese lost the lead in the rankings by the end of 2019

The reliability rating is not the first year the Agency publishes J. D. Power. This time, to list the most reliable brands, experts have studied about a million reviews from car owners.

Experts from J. D. Power with the help of ordinary motorists assessed the reliability of various car brands at the end of last year. Based on the experts took the number of failures, which for 2019 had to face the owners of three-year vehicles. It turned out that for this indicator, the most trusted name became a premium sub-brand of Hyundai Motor – Genesis. A hundred cars with the logo of this brand accounted for 89 damage. The second is getting the Japanese premium brand Lexus after three years of operation of each car of the hundreds gave its owner at least one failure.

“Bronze” reliability rating goes to the American brand Buick – 103 breakdowns on hundreds of cars. One step away from winning the “Troika” with a score of 104 faults per 100 vehicles stopped the German company Porsche. Followed by Toyota (100/113), Volkswagen and Lincoln – the two latter brand showed the same statistics 100/116.
