The Zaporozhye Automobile Plant will not produce a new crossover called Odessa together with the Chinese company FAW. This was announced on Thursday, October 21, by the Ukravto corporation, which includes ZAZ.
“There are information materials that mention the Zaporozhye Automobile Building Plant, which allegedly intends in the near future to establish production of a crossover jointly with one of the Chinese manufacturers. At the same time, resources refer to unofficial sources,” the message says. >
The corporation called on the media to check the facts for reliability and to seek information from official sources. They said that they are not in any negotiations with FAW Group and do not plan to launch a production project using the aggregate base of models of this automaker.
“At the moment, a number of Groupe Renault models, as well as KIA models, are being produced on the conveyor of the Zaporozhye Automobile Building Plant,” Ukravto recalled.
Earlier, the media reported that ZAZ is preparing for the production of a new crossover called Odessa. This model was supposedly supposed to be a local adaptation of the car of the Chinese company FAW – FAW Besturn T77.
