Porsche and startup Holoride began testing a VR headset connected to the infotainment system of the car. It is assumed that the virtual reality glasses will use the second-row passengers.
The peculiarity of the technology is that it interacts with the machine. On the headset fixed sensors that can read the maneuvers of the vehicle, and the system in real-time adjusts the picture of virtual reality. In addition, you can set the duration of the game depending on travel time.
According to project leader smart mobility in the company of Porsche AG Anja Mertens, development Holoride opens up new vistas of entertainment in the car. In most Holoride expect to begin mass introduction of VR headsets in cars over the next three years.
Presentation technology will be held in the framework of the Frankfurt motor show in September.
